Screen Shots

SCREEN SHOTS

look up on your right hand side (normally it is) of you keyboard and you will see, a button in a group of 3 that has "PrtScn"

1) put up the window/s that you want to take a screen capture picture of

2) Hit the "PrtScn" button

note: this will save your screen capture into the computers memory.

3) Go over and open up "paint" :- Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint

4) Go up the top of the paint menu and select "edit" and then "paste"

5) You should see the screen capture image, now you can crop and save this image to you hard drive and do what you please.

I usually use another image editor for resizing, but in Paint you can

do it also to an extent. Go to "image" in the upper bar, next, click on

the 'Stretch/skew" option. In the option for width it has a default of 100%, and I'll type in (example) 50% where it orignally had 100%. Then in the 'height' box, I'll usually change the default 100% to the same value that I typed in for the width (example: 50% again). You can play around with the different values until it looks about the size you like it and save the paint image (jpg or whatever) Hope that helps or gives you a start.
